My name is Debbie Miner and I am the Regional commissioner for Region 217. My daughter started playing soccer in 1995 and that year I was a parent on the sideline. The next couple of years I was a team parent then volunteered to do the newsletter for the region which was board position, then I moved on to the Team Parent Coordinator for a couple years. I took over winter season and became the RC and this season will mark my 6th year in the position. My daughter was done playing soccer in 2005.
I will tell you that volunteering is both rewarding and frustrating but the rewards far out weigh the frustrating. Volunteering is a worthwhile experience that you should not miss out on.
